Encouragement

Thankful Tuesday

(Side note…I finally figured out how to add text on on iPhone photos, and it’s so much faster than Canva, though I do like Canva.)

Sometimes I start feeling really down. You see, I get really focused on something and then I get really down when it doesn’t go as planned. (My dad tells me that’s life, though.) And I’ve only found two cures. Read God’s Word or think of things to be thankful for. So, as the title indicates, I’m going to list a few things I’m thankful for today, and I want you to tell me what you’re thankful for in the comments below.

  1. Warm weather!!! (Can anyone second this?!)
  2. Being done with school by noon (like today!)
  3. BIBLE BEE!!!! (I know, it hasn’t actually started yet, but I’m thankful for the encouragement I’ve received from fellow Bible Bee-ers!)
  4. The Word of God
  5. The ability to bake/cook.
  6. Food! Speaking of food, I’m really hungry…(may or may not have something to do with me not eating breakfast.)
  7. The ability to write. I hit a writing slump last month, but I’ve written (and submitted) four articles to magazines this month.

What about you? What are some things you’re thankful for today?

For His glory,

Lilly

  1. This is really cool, Lilly. ā¤ Lately I've been trying to make mental lists of things I'm thankful for before bed – it really helps me get into a good mentality. šŸ™‚

  2. Awesome post!! I can definitely second being thankful for warm weather. šŸ˜ I’m also thankful for laughter, being able to walk/jog, my morning bowl of Special K, and (of course) my Amazon music playlists. šŸ˜€

  3. Oh, I should start writing thankful lists when I have off days! I have been having them a lot lately. A few things that I’m thankful for today include the following: memorizing Psalm 18, Bible Bee (of course!), “Counting Stars in an Empty Sky: Trusting God’s Promises for Your Impossibilities by Michael Youssef, Biblical conversations with a new friend, and pen pal letters. šŸ™‚

    1. Yes, you should! It’s a good exercise! Oh, I recently memorized Psalm 18; such a good chapter. Pen pal letters are so much fun!

  4. I’m thankful for life , my family and my salvation.
