I am still doing the Modesty Monday series, it’s just that these posts take a lot of time to write. Anyways…..here’s the Q + A. I did not receive a lot of questions, but there were enough to dedicate a whole post to the topic.
Do you think dressing modestly in the summer is harder than any other season?Yes, because in cooler months, you can always layer if something is too low cut, etc. Or if a dress or skirt is just a mite bit shorter than you perfer, you can always wear leggings, etc. So yes, summer is often much harder!
Do you wear pants?I am allowed to wear certain pants (not skinny jeans or leggings unless w/ dress). However, I haven’t worn pants since………um……..my baptism (February). (And I’ve done many things in skirts and dresses, including jumping on trampolines, shooting hoops, and hiking/running/)
Do you wear sleeveless?NOOOOOOOOOOOO I can NOT stand sleeveless. (Though we are allowed to wear certain sleeveless outfits [just not spaghetti straps or strapless])
Where do you buy your clothes?eBay, thrift/consignment stores, and any other place that has sales. A post on this will be coming soon(ish).
Is your hair long? Do you think ladies should have long hair?Yes, my hair is fairly long. Yes, I do think ladies should have long hair (1 Corinthians 11:3-15)
What do you wear for swimming? Right now, I wear swim shorts and a swim tank top. (SLEEVELESS, you guys! [working on fixing that soon])
A Christian should never ever take one person’s word for a topic. In fact, they should bring everything back to the Bible and see what the Bible has to say about that certain topic. Thus, my challenge for you is to see what the Bible has to say about modesty. Maybe a certain verse makes your convictions different from others. If you’d like, you can share your findings in the comments below. Can’t wait to here what you all find!
