The Modesty Monday survey got 44 responses (real friends, blog friends, & I was even crazy enough to ask a few friends). (The first 30 were within the first two days.) I enjoyed reading your responses. Three of the questions will not appear on here as they will be used in other posts. I did edit some of the responses because of spelling errors. Let’s begin!
1. Do you think girls should wear pants?
No-2The rest of you said:~If they want to~If the pants are too tight, then no. If they are loose, then yes.~I think girls can wear pants if they want to~only loose, not low-rise, & not jeans because of men’s-style fly & front zip~In my family, we wear skirts, exclusively . . . unless it would be more modest to wear pants. Like, say, skiing. Or Jumping out of an airplane. Now, that being said, I haven’t actually wore a pair of pants for years — and we hike and camp and go sledding and I’ve even ridden horses in a skirt. ~I wear skirts most of the time, but for certain activities I will wear pants.~If around the home and loose fitting, yes. Out in public, whatever your parents say. Jeans – No!~I don’t think it matters either way~Only when pants are more modest than skirts – such as during farm work (crawling around a loft, climbing on tractors, etc.), or hiking (meaning real rock climbing. Skirts work for most walking/hiking), or painting (on a ladder, cupboard, or just sprawled on the floor).~Undecided. I don’t think it’s wrong, but would prefer not.~I have mixed feelings about this. For purposes like riding bikes, jogging, going to bed, etc., I prefer pants (so long as they’re not jeans), although for the most part I definitely love wearing skirts.~both skirts and pants are great. depends on pants’ fit for modesty.~Not unless absolutely necessary
Did anything about the survey surprise you? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
